(01) The task
The task
StaffWorks is a Canadian employment agency: temporary staffing, permanent placement and HR services.
Its website serves two different visitors, job seekers and employers, and has to make the search and the hiring simple for both.
Later the company changed its business model and its logo, and the site had to present the new model.
StaffWorks came to us for a WordPress website: design, development and hosting. In the client’s words on our old case page, they came back later “to update the site’s design to reflect our new business model and logo and implement additional functionality into the site”.
The hard part of a staffing site is that it has two front doors. Job seekers and employers want different things from the same site, and each has to find their own way in.

A journey for each side
Research into what job seekers and employers each need, and a user journey mapped for each group. The site's structure follows those journeys.

Tools for job seekers
Job search, job alerts, and a simple way to upload a resume and manage applications.

Tools for employers
A dashboard to track job postings and the applications that come in.

Built, hosted, then redesigned
Designed, developed and hosted on WordPress. Later redesigned around the new business model and logo, with more functionality added.
