Privacy Policy.

This policy covers what New Design Group Inc. collects through this website, why, who receives it and how to ask us to see, correct or delete it. It follows Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

What this site collects

Four things on this site touch personal information. For each: what is collected, why, who receives it and how long it is kept.

01

The contact form

What
Your name, email address, company, budget range, how you heard about us and your message. With them: the page you sent the form from, the address of the site that brought you here and any campaign tags (UTM) in the link you came by, and your IP address. If your browser holds a HubSpot cookie for this site, its identifier goes with the submission. While you browse, the campaign tags and the referring site are kept in your browser’s session storage so the form can include them; they disappear when you close the tab.
Why
To answer your note and, if you become a client, to keep the conversation in one place. The page and campaign fields tell us which page or link brought the enquiry. The IP address goes to the spam check and to HubSpot with the submission.
Who receives it
hCaptcha (Intuition Machines, Inc.) checks that the form was sent by a person, not a bot; it reads signals from your browser and receives your IP address. HubSpot, Inc. stores the submission in our CRM. The people at New Design Group who answer enquiries read it. We do not sell it or pass it to anyone else.
How long
Until you withdraw your consent or ask us to delete it. Write to the privacy contact below and we remove the enquiry from HubSpot and from our mailbox.

02

Google Analytics

What
Google Analytics 4 runs on www.newdesigngroup.ca only. It records the pages you view, how you arrived (search, link, campaign), your device, browser and approximate location, what Google calls enhanced measurement (scrolls, outbound clicks, file downloads), and three events of our own: a sent contact form, a click on “Book a 20-minute call” and a click on the phone number. It sets first-party cookies (named _ga and _ga_…) to recognize a returning browser. Google states that Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses.
Why
To see which pages and channels bring enquiries and which do not, so we fix the site. We see totals and trends, not who you are.
Who receives it
Google LLC processes the data on our behalf. Google signals (linking visits to signed-in Google accounts) are off, and the property is not linked to Google Ads: nothing here is used for advertising.
How long
Google Analytics keeps event and user data for 14 months, then deletes it; aggregated reports stay longer. You can block Analytics with your browser’s tracking protection or with Google’s opt-out add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout).

03

Clutch reviews widget

What
The home page and the About page show our client reviews from Clutch in a widget that Clutch serves (a script and a frame from widget.clutch.co). When it loads, your browser connects to Clutch, which receives your IP address, browser details and the address of our page, and may set or read its own cookies.
Why
To show reviews that Clutch has verified, rather than quotes we typed ourselves.
Who receives it
Clutch (Clutch.co) receives this directly from your browser and uses it under its own privacy policy. We receive nothing from the widget.
How long
Set by Clutch, not by us. If the widget does not load, the page shows a link to our Clutch profile instead.

04

LinkedIn recommendations

What
The recommendations on the About page are text on our own page, copied from LinkedIn, with links to the authors’ LinkedIn profiles. Nothing is loaded from LinkedIn while you read them, so LinkedIn receives nothing about your visit unless you click a link.
Why
To show what clients and colleagues wrote about our work.
Who receives it
No one. If you click through, LinkedIn’s own privacy policy applies on LinkedIn.
How long
Not collected.

Where it is stored

HubSpot, Google, Netlify, Intuition Machines (hCaptcha) and Clutch are companies based in the United States, and the information they process for us may be stored outside Canada, where the courts and authorities of that country can require access to it. Our HubSpot account is hosted in HubSpot’s United States data center.

We use these providers under their standard terms. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for anything other than the purposes on this page without asking you first.

Your access and correction rights

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, where it came from and who it has been shared with, and ask us to correct it if it is wrong. You can also withdraw your consent and ask us to delete your enquiry; if we need to keep part of it, for example for an invoice, we will tell you which part and why.

Write to the person responsible for privacy at New Design Group (below). We may ask you to confirm who you are before we answer. We answer within 30 days, as PIPEDA requires.

If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca).
