(01) The task
The task
In September 2022 Rabba's head of marketing wrote to us through the contact form on this site. She was looking for a solid marketing agency, and the chain had no brand book.
Her brief: posts several times a week, flyers through the year, in-store features every month. Ad spend could wait; the foundation came first.
She picked us because we are local and one company: one team for the posts, the print and the people at the door.
Rabba Fine Foods is a Toronto grocery chain. We run its marketing on a monthly retainer, and three parts of that work show in the stores and on the phone in a shopper’s hand: the posts, the print and the street teams.
All three come from the same team that built the chain’s website, rabba.com, and looks after it and the newsletters.

What we did
-
01
The website
rabba.com is our build and stays in our care: store locator, the week's flyer and features, online ordering links, careers and newsroom, updated as the chain's marketing changes.
-
02
Social media every weekday
Posts on Instagram and Facebook every weekday and on LinkedIn every week, stories, answers to messages and comments, and posts in local Facebook groups. Scheduled ahead in a content calendar.
-
03
Print for the stores
Flyer pages and in-store features, A-frames, posters, window vinyl and promo materials for store openings and campaigns, designed by our team and sent out as print-ready files.
-
04
Street teams
Street teams at the stores and at local events: store openings, a Tim Hortons launch, a BBQ, the Southside Shuffle festival. Each activation is quoted in days, people and hours.

Every month since 2022
- Rabba has kept us on a monthly retainer since November 2022: social media, print and street teams run by the same team that runs the rest of the chain's marketing.
