(01) The task
The task
GreenEco imports and distributes bioresin blends used to make certified compostable single-use consumer items.
Through a joint venture with Jiangsu Orange Biodegradable Co. Ltd., it holds exclusive North American distribution rights to OrangeBio bioresins. The name was established; the branding and the market messaging were not.
It speaks to two audiences: manufacturers who already buy other materials, and a public whose demand for planet-friendly products feeds back to those manufacturers.
GreenEco’s founders want “disposable” to stop meaning “thrown away” and start meaning compostable and pollution-free. Their bioresins go into bags, containers and straws that break down instead of piling up.
They had a name and a clear view of why their products matter. They asked us for everything else: the brand, the words and the materials to carry it to manufacturers and to the public.

What we did
-
01
Research first
Our briefing questionnaire, then GreenEco's stakeholders, the plastics industry and its trends, the competition, the products' benefits, the company's targets and the marketing problems it had met.
-
02
One emotional core
Genuine care for the planet, shared by the company and its audiences. Every creative decision went through that filter.
-
03
Logo, tagline, vision, mission
A logo and packaging designed to carry the brand from the loading dock, the tagline The makings of a healthier planet, a vision and a mission statement.
-
04
Concepts, then prototypes
A draft concept presentation the client approved in principle and changed in places. Then print, digital, packaging, texts and signage prototyped in detail before final approval.
-
05
Delivered print- and web-ready
Business card, stationery, envelope label, presentation folder and inserts, a bi-fold brochure with its copy, a packaging label, a brand guidelines book, website copy and a Zoom background.
-
06
Website and social media
The website, and social media accounts created and managed to build public awareness of the products.
